 I AM A HULL BASED PHYSIOTHERAPIST AND SPORTS & REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPIST PRACTICING IN THE WIDER REGIONS OF EAST YORKSHIRE AND BEYOND.

I have over 23 years experience of physiotherapy, sports remedial massage therapy and rehabilitation and exercise advice.

I am proud to have treated all three of the cities sports teams, Hull FC, Hull KR and Hull City FC. I am currently the Physiotherapist for North Ferriby FC. I have a growing client list of local people who turn to me for treatment ranging from minor muscle strains to significant joint problems.

My qualifications and professional body associations are:

PHYSIOTHERAPY

 Physiotherapy is the branch of treatment that employs physical methods to promote healing, which includes the use of heat, infra-red and ultra-violet rays, electric current, massage, manipulation, mobilization and remedial exercise.

We provide a wide range of physiotherapy services for treating minor ailments such as a sprained ankle right up to more serious complaints such as torn muscles or ligament damage. If you have an injury or ailment that you need looking at please do not hesitate to get in touch.


SPORTS THERAPY

 Having to have the knowledge of sports injuries and skills in anatomy and physiology. The reaction to repair known signs and symptoms of sports injuries in general. Upper and lower limb to prevent and treat, fitness and assessing the fitness of the sports person. Also to work in conjunction with the medical profession to ensure a gradual safe return to their sport.

MASSAGE TREATMENTS

 The sportsman should be aware of the uses and benefits of massage so that he can make best use of it. All sporting activities involve Muscle activity as the primary motive force, and many sports injuries are directly muscle injuries or originate from muscle dysfunction.

Massage is the best form of treatment for muscle tension, and has a distinct advantage over other therapies in that it can be used On a regular basis to help prevent overuse injuries as well as being used as a symptom based approach to the treatment of specific Injuries.

With massage the therapist can remove the accumulation of general aches and pains that some sportsmen either seem to accept as Normal due to their gradual build-up, or try to suppress with drugs. These aches and pains can lead to more serious problems, so the benefits for Injury prevention are great.

With specific injuries massage can explore the soft tissues more intimately than any other therapy, and problem Areas can be diagnosed and treated very accurately.

IN HIS YOUNGER DAYS PAUL ENJOYED PLAYING FOOTBALL AS A BUDDING LEFT FULL BACK FOR LOCAL TEAMS. He also progressed to a class one referee, so you know when your injured, Paul has been there and felt the same pain too.

In the treatment room Paul has a professional and caring approach and prides himself on being able to explain the injury and treatment process in a easy to understand language. He maintains a philosophy of treating the person and not just the problem.

Paul has a great working relationship with local hospitals and GP’s and can work closely with your Doctor to ensure a speedy recovery from your injury or ailment.

His membership of the Health & Care Professions Council and also the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists confirms his status as a quality provider of physiotherapy treatment.

The atmosphere at his practice is friendly and relaxing and he is always available for a chat to ease any concerns you may have.
